Frequently asked questions
Everything you might want to know about using FreeToolJar.
Is FreeToolJar really free?
Yes. Every tool is free to use, with no account, no trial, no watermark and no limit on how often you use it.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There are no accounts at all. Just open a tool and use it.
Are my files uploaded to your servers?
No. Tools that work with text, PDFs, images and code do all their processing inside your browser, so your files never leave your device. A few features need to look something up online — see “Which tools connect to the internet?” below.
Which tools connect to the internet?
The Website Revenue and Website Worth calculators, the most valuable websites list and the AI Crawler Checker send the website address you enter to our server, which looks up public information about that site. The Currency Converter downloads exchange rates, Tweet to Image asks X for a public post, and the Video Thumbnail Grabber loads thumbnails from YouTube or Vimeo. Our Privacy Policy lists exactly what is sent where.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no upload limit because nothing is uploaded. Very large PDFs and images are limited only by your device’s memory; if a big file is slow, try a desktop browser or a smaller batch.
Do the tools work on my phone?
Yes. Every tool works in modern browsers on Android and iPhone as well as on Windows, Mac and Linux computers.
Do the tools work offline?
Most tools keep working if your connection drops after the page has loaded, because they run in your browser. Features that fetch live data — such as exchange rates or website analysis — need a connection.
How do favourites work?
Tap the heart on any tool and it appears under Favs. Favourites are saved in your browser only, so they don’t follow you to another device, and clearing your browser data removes them.
How accurate are the calculators?
The maths is exact, but many tools give estimates based on standard formulas and typical figures — for example calorie needs, due dates or what a website earns. Use them as a guide, not as professional, medical or financial advice.
Where does the website traffic and worth data come from?
Traffic is estimated from a site’s position in the Tranco global ranking of the top million websites, updated daily. Domain age comes from the public RDAP registry, and income streams are detected from the site’s public homepage. The results are estimates, not figures from the site’s owner.
Why did only one tab open in Open Multiple URLs?
Browsers only let a page open one new tab per click unless you allow pop-ups for it. Click the blocked pop-up icon in the address bar, allow pop-ups for this site and click Open links again.
Can I use what I create for commercial projects?
Yes. QR codes, barcodes, images, invoices, CSS code and other results you create are yours to use, including in commercial work. Please don’t use the mockup tools to impersonate real people or mislead anyone.
Can I suggest a new tool or report a bug?
Please do. Email us at hello@freetooljar.com or use the contact page. Tell us the tool’s name and what happened, and include your browser and device for bugs.
