What size should a favicon be?
Browsers use 16×16 and 32×32 for tabs, Apple devices use a 180×180 touch icon, and Android uses 192×192 and 512×512. The package includes all of these.
Do I still need favicon.ico?
It is still worth including for older browsers and tools that look for /favicon.ico. Modern browsers use the PNG versions.
