Lorem Ipsum Generator
Generate placeholder paragraphs for mockups and layout testing.
Why it's useful: fills a design mockup or CMS template with realistic-length placeholder text before real copy is ready, without staring at the exact same fixed paragraph every time.

Frequently asked questions
What does lorem ipsum mean?
It comes from a scrambled passage of “De finibus bonorum et malorum”, a Latin text by Cicero from 45 BC. It has been used as filler text in printing since the 1500s.
Why do designers use lorem ipsum?
It has a natural mix of short and long words, so it looks like real text, but because it is not readable English it keeps attention on the layout rather than the content.
Should I leave lorem ipsum on a live website?
No. Replace it with real content before publishing — placeholder text looks unfinished to visitors and gives search engines nothing useful to index.
