Password Generator

Generates one or more random passwords using your browser’s cryptographic random number generator.

Why it's useful: generated locally with crypto.getRandomValues — passwords are never sent anywhere, not even to render this page. "No repeated characters" needs a character pool at least as large as the password length, or it can't be satisfied.

About the Password Generator

The Password Generator creates strong random passwords with full control over length, lowercase, uppercase, numbers and symbols, plus options to exclude look-alike characters, avoid repeats and always include or never include specific characters. It can generate many at once and uses your browser’s cryptographic random number generator, so passwords are never sent anywhere.

How to use the Password Generator

  1. Set the password length.
  2. Choose the character types and any exclusions.
  3. Choose how many passwords to generate.
  4. Click Generate and copy your password.

Frequently asked questions

How long should a password be?

At least 12–16 characters for everyday accounts, and longer for important ones such as email and banking. Length adds more strength than complexity.

Are generated passwords stored?

No. They are created in your browser and never sent or saved. Store them in a password manager.

Why exclude similar characters?

Characters like l, 1, I, O and 0 are easy to confuse when reading or typing a password by hand, so excluding them avoids mistakes.
